Structural Designer/ Engineer in Training
Justin graduated from the University of California Davis with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science in 2001. After several years working in the tech industry in the Bay Area, the lure of the mountains drew him to Tahoe and a job as a ski lift mechanic at Alpine Meadows. Two years of climbing lift towers and rebuilding grip assemblies was enough, and he shifted his career into the field of Structural Design and Civil Engineering in the greater Lake Tahoe Basin. Justin has over 13 years experience in residential and commercial construction, remodels, additions, repairs, energy analysis and green building. He utilizes his diverse experience and creative approach to bring a pragmatic yet inventive vision to all projects and to the MWA team.

Our team at Heller Construction, Inc. have been working with Kurt Reinkens and Kristi Thompson and the MWA team for years. MWA is on the forefront of green building in the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is always such an enjoyable experience to work alongside them and then physically build their unique and inspiring designs. Working together from concept to finished home has demonstrated our cohesive relationship,apparent in the finished product.
